Forest Hill station is the area’s primary transport hub at the intersection of both the train line and the south circular. A huge amount of traffic travels both below and above the bridge over Waldram Crescent. This bridge acts as a gateway to Forest Hill. Five large projections will respectively show a graphic drawing of a train, car, bicycle, pedestrian and bus. Each will only light up when their corresponding mode of transport passes under or over the bridge. Sensors will be placed at various heights above and below the bridge to ascertain which type of transport is entering the area and which projection should be activated. At busy times all the projections may be illuminated, late at night, there may only be a single image of a pedestrian. The walls below the rail bridge are dark and somewhat ominous. Convergence will both illuminate and animate this area.
