| Blood Cascade |

High Row and West Row/Prebend Row used to be linked on an incline between the buildings on the East and the covered market on the right. This made it easy for the stallholders to wash down the area after the market. To reflect this history a shallow cascade of water will run down the steps which seperate High Row and West Row. At night the water will be lit in red to reflect the blood, which was washed down the road from the meat stalls after the market. The pattern of the cascade will be defined by the barcodes for famous Darlington products, bridging the past market activity with present day commerce.
