The southern wall of the metro station will be replaced with glass. This will allow travellers to see not only the museum but also the outstanding view over the boat yard and the Tyne. On this glass will be a number of proposals of possible ways of linking the metro station and the museum. Many of these will be fantastical, including glass tubes, roman bridges, hot air balloons and flying bicycles. These have all been suggested by local school children in workshops held at Segedunum. These propositions will blend with the real view so when travellers stand on certain spots on the platform the view will align perfectly with the proposals.
