The work focuses on Wallsend Metro and Segedunum Museum. The museum is not visible from the metro and the access between the two is neither obvious nor pleasant. Pontis visually addresses these issues and will increase awareness about the present hierarchy between transport structures. A visual link will be established between the metro and the museum through a colour scheme that will link lighting, planting and paving. Segedunum Tower and the Metro Station will be lit internally in lavender, the colour that will unite all the elements of the commission. Segedunum will act as a beacon at night, the height of the tower will make it clearly visible to the surrounding area.
