| Transparent Services |

This sculptural work allows the public a unique insight into the life support networks that function beneath their feet every day of the year.

A huge hole will be cut into the ground to reveal the services that lie below: water, waste, electricity cables, phone lines, and gas. The service ducts will be transparent so that the passage of some utilities, such as water and sewerage will become visible, while the movement of others such as gas, electricity and telecommunications will remain invisible. The inside walls of the hole will be mirrored to emphasise the extent of the networks.
