Park & Walk, a bus user-guide, borrows from the graphic style of an existing leaflet circulated by Oxford Bus Company but subverts the original travel information with a proposed off-road walk, between the bus routes, cutting through some beautiful locations. Each area including; an idyllic lake surrounded by homes with exclusive access, a fastidiously maintained cemetery that welcomes visitors but does not encourage its use as a shortcut and the majestic vistas of a lush and verdant golf course for members only, has no relationship with its neighbour and functions as yet another independent monoculture similar to that of the Park & Ride bus scheme. Park & Walk suggests that car parks have potential to be leisure destinations in their own right and could take people out of the city for pleasure as well as into the city for work. Info >
