Hair

In collaboration with the performance group CABULA6 and Igor Dobricic, Michael Pinsky created Vienna’s first official wig. In a four-day around-the-clock performance, the hair from hundreds of people living in Vienna was woven together to form this unique Viennese wig. Premier hair stylists from around the city offered free haircuts whilst the wig was created, in front of the audiences’ eyes, from the hair on their heads. Once complete, the wig began its own life as it traveled to major museums around the world.
