I’m Laughing at Clouds
I’m Laughing at Clouds is an installation composed of nine tactile lighting columns. Passers-by can engage with the sculpture by touching sensors embedded within, allowing them to create unique compositions of light and sound. The lampposts are designed to respond to human touch, capturing the frequency of a person’s pulse. This data is visually represented through the illumination of the columns, complemented by audio samples of sung heartbeats recorded from children at the nearby Brunswick Nursery School.
Commissioned by Anglia Ruskin University, this interactive experience encourages a playful connection between the participants and their environment, transforming the act of touch into a shared sensory exploration.
