Long Weight 

Brad spent several weeks ensconced in Ringway’s road building depot. Befriending staff and commandeering supplies, he created a series of sculptural interventions to be placed around Ashford’s ring road. For ‘Long Weight’ Brad has mounted functioning Puffin crossing units at the top of four-metre columns. Pedestrians will had to work collectively, standing on each other’s shoulders to achieve their goal of changing the lights, enabling them to cross the road.
