Dan Griffiths

Regeneration Rebels

For various locations across Ashford, Dan created large-scale posters, the content of which functioned as election campaign, with the aesthetic assuming the form of 1970’s iconic album cover design. These posters promoted four individuals who have played an intrinsic role in Ashford’s redevelopment. Given the radical nature of the ideas supporting Ashford ring road’s transformation to a Shared Space scheme, Dan decided to enshrine these advocates in cult status. Pop music and local politics were confused, suggesting a positive employment of ‘personality politics’.
