Flock
Gary commandeered a group of participants from Ashford and beyond, to form a cluster that moves as a single living amorphous entity. They could be seen at a distance as they drifted around the streets of Ashford or up close as they threatened to envelop and engulf spectators. They moved as a group with a strict programme governing their collective behaviour – akin to molecules, a flock of birds or a swarm of bees. The group could suddenly run off in response to the behaviour of spectators or some internal dynamic, like a startled herd of animals, or they could explode in all directions like a firework.
